Terlingua Ghost Town

Between Lajitas and Big Bend National Park is Terlingua Ghost Town. It used to be a mining town which then became a ghost town for 30 years. Then, in the 1960s and 1970s, hippies and convicts gravitated to the town to get away from it all. There is now a decent size amount of folks who call it home. There is a general store, a gift shop, some restaurants, a cemetery, and lots of RVs converted into homes. There is also the Starlight Theatre where you can have a meal and hear live music. All in all, it was an interesting place, but I spent way too much time there.
