Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site

My first stop of the morning after Fredericksburg was the Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site. This state park which honors LBJ, their native son, consists of a visitor center, a living history farm, and a herd of bison. It seemed like the State of Texas didn't want to be left out of the game of honoring LBJ. I didn't spend much time here as my real focus was the National Park Service-managed Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park, a part of which (the LBJ Ranch) is adjacent to the state park.
