Big Bend National Park, Day Three: The Night Sky

Big Bend National Park is known as one of the outstanding places in North America for stargazing. In 2012, Big Bend was awarded International Dark Sky Park status by the International Dark-Sky Association.

So, on my last night in the park, I left my room about 9 pm and walked over to the Window View Trail lookout and gazed at the sky for some time. The ability to see stars in the sky was unreal so I also took some photos of the night sky just to prove it.
